Culver City

Downtown Culver City continues its renaissance, adding galleries and restaurants.  Motor Avenue runs from 20th Century Fox south to Sony Studios. Theatres include Kirk Douglas Theatre and the Actor’s Gang at the Ivy Substation. Among a bevy of new restaurants are Fraiche, BottleRock, and Tender Greens. The quirky Museum of Jurassic Technology is nearby. The historic Helms Bakery buildings, at Helms Avenue and Venice Boulevard, house design stores including H.D. Buttercup, the Jazz Bakery music venue, pan-Asian eatery Beacon and gastropub Father’s Office 2. On Washington Boulevard, Wilson wine bar is housed in the Museum of Design Art and Architecture, and Surfas Restaurant Supply & Gourmet Food includes a very casual café. Downtown Culver city has wireless internet access in its public spaces.
